Broc Feeney returned to the winners’ circle with two convincing wins at the Symmons Plains Supercars round, earning maximum points in the two 50-lap races. Feeney’s performance propelled him to the championship lead, surpassing team-mate Will Brown.
Feeney dominated the opening race, securing a 7.93s victory after a lightning-fast pit stop and a strategic lead over Thomas Randle. In the second race, he faced tougher competition but ultimately clinched another win and fastest lap bonus points.
With Feeney in the lead, the battle for the remaining placings was intense, involving drivers like Nick Percat, Thomas Randle, and Cam Waters. Despite a challenging Saturday, Will Brown relinquished his championship lead as Feeney took the top spot with 760 points.
The Supercars will continue at the same track on Sunday, featuring qualifying, a Top Ten Shoot Out, and a 78-lap race scheduled to begin at 2:45pm.
